More than Just Promising Qualifications for ProSpeed Competition

ProSpeed Competition climbs to 6th place in the general during the qualification trials for the 24H Dubai 2008.

As of this January day in 2008, the international season has only just begun, but the Belgian ProSpeed Competition team is already attracting attention. Qualified in absolute 6th place during the 24H Dubai, ProSpeed Competition is confident of defending the position it achieved here last year.

Rudi Penders : "Starting with the free trials, we achieved very good results capable of permitting us to approach the qualifications with maximum confidence. Markus Palttala achieved excellent time, placing our vehicle on the third line for the start. Our objective, more than ever, is to provide the spectators with a repeat performance of our exploits last year!".

To do so, ProSpeed Competition has managed to put all the odds in its favour; a homogenous team of pilots made of Rudi Penders - Franz Lamot – Markus Palttala – Mikael Forsten, a reliable, excellent vehicle, with the Porsche 996 GT3 RS; and a team used to achieving excellent results in endurance races. What is more, the chancy weather at the time of the race might well favour Porsches, as well as European teams unfortunately « accustomed » to driving in the rain.

It should also be noted that ProSpeed Competition finished first of the 12 vehicles of the Belgian delegation on the spot. Moreover, the top 10 of these tests is entirely occupied by Porsches.
