20:48 The session ended early due to the extensive damage sustained to the Armco at Tertre Rouge after the #14 Creation Autosportif Ltd, Creation Aim Ca07 accident. As expected only a few times were improved in this session and the leader board remains much the same as before.
The only front runners who improved their times were Allan McNish in the #2 Audi Sport North America, Audi R10 and Marco Werner in #1 Audi Sport North America, Audi R10 car.
In LMP2 #34 Van Merksteijn Motorsport, Porsche RS Spyder driven by Verstappen went quicker than the #31 Team Essex, Porsche RS Spyder to take provisional pole in the class.
Drama struck when the #9 Peugeot Sport Total, Peugeot 908 HDI FAP Zonta went straight on at the Corvette Curve and hit the wall hard doing a fair bit of body damage. The driver was OK.
But then, moments later, the #14 Creation Autosportif Ltd, Creation Aim Ca07 driven by Stuart Hall lost control and the car went on to hit the barriers sufficiently hard that they will need to be rebuilt during the break between sessions. Stuart hall was OK despite being helped from the car.
In LMGT1 one of the only front runners to improve his times was Darren Turner in the #009 Aston Martin Racing, Aston Martin DBR9. In LMGT2 onece again none of the front runners went any quicker so the leader board remained the same.
All the cars went out to qualify in this session except the #44 Mazda which crashed last night and the #19 Chamberlain-Synergy Motorsport, Lola Aer B06-10 which was having its engine changed.

19:44 hrs. The #99 JMB Racing Ferrari F430 GT, driven by Ben Aucott has gone off at the Dunlop Curves and, going backwards, hit the barriers hard. The rear of the car looks fairly badly damaged and will probably not go out again tonight.
