At 3:01 pm (0h 56m running), Lucas Luhr (#2-P1 Audi AG R10/TDI) into the pits. 4 tires, fuel, driver change: Marco Werner. 20 second hold for goggles up on the fueler.

At 3:02 pm (0h 57m running), Jan Magnussen (#3-GT1 Corvette C6.R) into the pits. 4 tires, fuel, driver change: Johnny O`Connell.

At 3:03 pm (0h 58m running), Oliver Gavin (#4-GT1 Corvette C6.R) into the pits. 4 tires, fuel, driver change: Olivier Beretta.

At 3:03 pm (0h 58m running), Marco Werner (#2-P1 Audi AG R10/TDI) wide at turn 2, continues behind Rinaldo Capello (#1-P1 Audi AG R10/TDI) in 9th place overall (2nd in class).

At 3:06 pm (1h 1m running), Rinaldo Capello (#1-P1 Audi AG R10/TDI) and Terry Borcheller (#008-GT1 Aston Martin DBR9) have contact at Optional Uphill, with major damage to the Audi. Both cars continue. The Audi was running 8th overall at the time, but in a good position to retake the overall lead after all pit stop cycle through. Also involved in the incident, but apparently untouched was Mika Salo (#62-GT2 Ferrari F430 GT).

At 3:36 pm (1h 31m running), David Brabham (#9-P2 Acura ARX-01B) reports Sascha Maassen (#6-P2 Porsche RS Spyder) passed him too early on the restart. The incident is being reviewed. Maassen has moved to 4th overall (and in class).

At 3:37 pm (1h 32m running), Adrian Fernandez (#15-P2 Acura ARX-01B) has managed to get the car back on the lead lap, there are now 6 cars alone at the top.

At 3:38 pm (1h 33m running), Sascha Maassen (#6-P2 Porsche RS Spyder) has dropped from 4th overall to 6th overall, but the reason why escapes us.

At 3:39 pm (1h 34m running), Guy Smith (#16-P2 Porsche RS Spyder) off and stopped at the Optional Uphill with the front bodywork of the car missing. Darren Law (#44-GT2 Porsche 911 GT3 RSR) is also involved. As the #16 Spyder went to pass down the straight, he did not completely clear the #44 Porsche, clipping the left rear of the prototype with the front right of the Porsche GT2 sending the #16 spinning into the Armco barrier, damaging the Spyder. The Prototype stopped in the next corner, the driver got out of the car, walked over to the fence and sat down in disgust. Meanwhile, the #44 continued on but then stopped the car in the run-off at Optional West bend. Guy Smith (#16-P2 Porsche RS Spyder) was running 3rd overall at the time. Darren Law (#44-GT2 Porsche 911 GT3 RSR) 20th overall, 8th in class.
