Kangaroo Media signs AT&T Williams for bespoke Kangaroo TV

As cars and crews descend on Albert Park in Melbourne for Formula One’s season-opening Australian Grand Prix, the AT&T Williams team will also launch a new bespoke AT&T Williams Kangaroo handheld TV. The AT&T Williams team have acquired 500 sets of Kangaroo TV’s innovative device which will be provided to the team for all 18 races on the 2008 calendar with an option to renew for two additional seasons thereafter.

Recognising the advantage of using the handheld device for live race video, multi-lingual commentary and immediate timing and scoring, AT&T Williams is adding Kangaroo TV’s units to its Paddock Club and Premium Grandstand hospitality programmes. The sleek handsets, branded with the AT&T Williams team’s livery, will also be used in the paddock and garage area to keep team members informed and mobile throughout the busy race weekend.

"We have been using Kangaroo TV since 2006. However, we feel that the new AT&T Williams bespoke sets will allow our guests and fans to truly maximise their Formula One experience," said Scott Garrett, Williams F1’s Head of Marketing, "Kangaroo TV with bespoke content gives us and our partners a powerful tool to communicate our messages to our guests, no matter where they are, while also making their Formula One weekend truly special."

"The AT&T Williams team recognises the value of Kangaroo TV to help upscale and differentiate its hospitality programmes whether in the paddock, Paddock Club, grandstands or even in the team garage or pit lane," said Alain Charette, EVP Corporate Development and GM Kangaroo TV Europe. "Their guests will be better informed, more engaged in Formula One and ultimately more dedicated to the team."
