At the 2004 Geneva Motorshow the new Lotus Exige was launched on a world stage. With customer demand in mind Lotus also presented a race version of the new car at Geneva, the Lotus Exige Cup Car.
Developed by Lotus’ Motorsport arm, Lotus Sport and Performance, the Exige Cup car is produced in limited numbers specifically for the Lotus Cup Europe series which visits several circuits across the continent.

Now in its fifth year, the Lotus Cup Europe goes from strength to strength with the introduction of two types of competition in 2008, Race and Regularity.
Regularity events are open to all types of lotus Elise based cars with competitors being assessed on consistency of their driving as opposed to pure speed. In 2005 Race events have been introduced which take place on the same weekends as Regularity. Race events are only open to those with an Exige Cup car and are, due to popular demand, solely focused on speed.
With the two types of track competition Lotus have catered for all types of drivers both wanting to take their Lotus experience to another level.
