Platts, der weltweit führende Anbieter von Energieinformationen und eine Geschäftseinheit von The McGraw-Hill Companies (NYSE: MHP), wird am 16. November 2009 bei einem Ehren-Dinner in Singapur die Platts Top 250 Global Energy Companies bekannt geben. Im Rahmen des Top-250-Rankings, das inzwischen im achten Jahr erstellt wird, wird der finanzielle Erfolg von Unternehmen weltweit, regional und nach Branchensegmenten aufgeschlüsselt.
Das diesjährige Ranking wird anlässlich der vierten jährlichen Platts Top 250 Global Energy Companies Awards und Leadership Dinner bekannt gegeben, das zum ersten Mal am Eröffnungsabend der Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW) stattfindet.

Platts ist eine dreijährige Partnerschaft mit der Energy Market Authority (EMA) von Singapur eingegangen, um bei der SIEW vertreten zu sein. Die vom 16. - 20. November stattfindende einwöchige Veranstaltung dient internationalen und regionalen Entscheidungsträgern aus Politik, Industrie und Wissenschaft als Möglichkeit zum Austausch von Ideen, Strategien und Best Practices, die zur Gestaltung von Energieprogrammen weltweit und in der Branche beitragen können. Weitere beachtenswerte Veranstaltungen im Rahmen der diesjährigen SIEW sind die Singapore Energy Lecture des preisgekrönten Autors Daniel Yergin, die Clean Energy Expo Asia und der Singapore Electricity Roundtable.
