A conference aimed at developing synergies!
SCIENTIFIC
The European Electric Vehicle Congress strengthens its position as global a platform for e-mobility where Industry, R&D, policy decision makers, end-users and NGOs meet.
As motivations, needs and constraints are different for each participant, EEVC-2012 aims to aid in defining the most promising solutions to be adopted, while taking into account the research and development progresses, as well as environmental and economical constraints.
The venue is Brussels, to ensure optimal proximity for the representatives of the European Institutions that consider Battery, Hybrid and Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles to play an important role to lower atmospheric pollution and to reduce oil dependency.
This year, EEVC-2012 will be held during the next EU Commission’s call for projects on clean transportation and, therefore, be used as a platform to start consortia & project proposals.
SCIENTIFIC PROCESS
At EEVC, after a plenary session dedicated to the strategic policy for “Europe’s vision and action plan”, the second day will be deeply R&D oriented. However industry and political aspects will not be forgotten, as a full track will run in parallel focusing on these aspects.
Four three-track parallel sessions are provided and horizontal generic themes have been identified to ensure that the sessions are user-friendly and coherent.
The following topic groups will be used:
• State of the art of Battery, Hybrid and Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle’s full system and components
• Energy management: power train efficiency, energy storage, energy management of the vehicle
• Research and development activities for energy carriers’ production, distribution, storage and potentials
• Overview of related European funded projects
• Global policy
• Implementing new technologies – boundary conditions, market dynamics and large market openings
• The visions of cities on sustainable transport systems for mobility and goods distribution
• Market niches, i.e. neighborhood mobility, off and on road small vehicles, cycles
The last part of the conference will gather all the participants around round tables for exciting discussions on mutual interests.
