Atlantic Racing Series, LLC Moves Into New Headquarters in Indianapolis Area

Atlantic Racing Series, LLC, which owns and operates the Cooper Tires Presents The Atlantic Championship Powered by Mazda, moved into its new headquarters in the Indianapolis suburb of Brownsburg on Monday.

The series headquarters were previously located in the former Champ Car World Series, LLC home on the Northwest side of Indianapolis. The new address for Atlantic Racing Series, LLC is 1531 East Northfield Drive, Suite 300; Brownsburg, Indiana 46112, and the new telephone number is (317) 858-0400. A full-time staff of five employees, including President Vicki O’Connor, will work from the new location, which will also house the series’ transporter and other equipment.

"While we’re not going to have much time to settle in with a race this weekend in Canada, we’re excited to move into our new home in Brownsburg," O’Connor said. "This will be a good location for us as we look to our bright future as a racing series. We’ve got a lot of work ahead of us, but this is definitely a good first step."

Joining O’Connor at the series headquarters are Technical and Competition Director Steve Sewell, Operations Director Eric Haverson, Logistics Director Brian Hughes and Office Manager Mandi Kern. Communications and Promotions Director Anne Roy and Communications Director Nate Siebens will continue to work remotely from their bases in Montreal and Florida, respectively.

The Atlantic Championship is the longest-running open-wheel driver development series in North America and celebrates its 35th Anniversary season in 2008. The series is noted for its long history of graduating its drivers into the top levels of motorsport throughout the world, including IndyCar champions such as Bobby Rahal, Danny Sullivan, Michael Andretti, Jacques Villeneuve, Jimmy Vasser, Greg Ray, Sam Hornish Jr. and Dan Wheldon, Indy 500 winners such as Sullivan, Rahal, Villeneuve, Buddy Rice, Wheldon and Hornish, and Formula One world champions such as Villeneuve and Keke Rosberg.

In 2008, Atlantic graduates will battle for race victories and championships in top North American series such as the Indy Racing League IndyCar Series, the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, the American Le Mans Series and the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series in addition to various other series all over the world.
