Skerlong and Muniz Searching for Success on Saturday

09.08.2008: Skerlong and Muniz Searching for Success on Saturday

Road America, Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin

CARL SKERLONG, #14 King Taco/Mazda/Swift/Cooper Tires

Practice 1 5th 2.00.484 120.905

Qualifying Race 1 9th 2:00.486 120.950

Carl on qualifying: "I’m pretty disappointed with my qualifying results today. I was hoping to be in the top five, but instead I ended up ninth. I think we are getting on the right track with the car, but we still have a lot of work to do for tomorrow’s race if we want to finish on the podium. I’m hoping to have an all around better day tomorrow."

Frankie Muniz #41 PCM/Mazda/Swift/Cooper Tires

Practice 1 17th 2:01.583 119.859

Qualifying Race 1 16th 2:01.032 120.405

Frankie on qualifying: "Today wasn’t a very good day for me. I felt like it was going well, but I’m disappointed with my result. Drafting is important on this track, and I was running by myself for most of the time. I am disappointed with 16th and my goal is to break into the top-ten, but at least we have another shot tomorrow. The races this weekend will be pretty sketchy now that we are allowed to block."
