#300 In brief:

It’s not too hard to work out exactly why Stéphane is known as « Mr Dakar ». He’s the all-time record-holder for wins on the event, with 13 first places to his name: six on bikes and seven in cars. Driving the PEUGEOT 2008DKR in 2016 and then the PEUGEOT 3008DKR in 2017, together with his loyal codriver Jean-Paul Cottret, Stéphane gave PEUGEOT the taste of victory again on the Dakar after the French marque returned to the event.

Last year they fought an epic duel against their team mates, the famous Sébastien Loeb/ Daniel Elena line-up, and this year they are back to defend their victory once more.

For a long time, Carlos held the record for the highest number of victories in the World Rally Championship, making him a living legend of the sport, with two world titles to his name. He then switched to rally raids and added the Dakar trophy to his cabinet in 2010.

Inspired by the challenge that Team PEUGEOT Total was taking on, Carlos brought his set-up skills and impressive speed to PEUGEOT’s ‘dream team’ from the start of the campaign. The Spaniard will be aiming firmly for victory this time, after an unlucky retirement in 2017.
