It was hot - very hot. Early in the morning the track temperature was high predicting unpleasent conditions when the DTC-cars would hit the track.

In the middle of the afternoon the gauge reached 53.5 degree celsius which made the tarmac very soft in the paddock but more importnt raised the concerns about motor temperature during line-up and close position fights.

When time for the first heat came tension was present everywhere. Would it be possible for Henrik and Pontus to gain anything from their starting positions i the second grid row and make a move forward or would it end up in a pileup like in Sweden a couple of weeks ago? The rolling start went perfect and both cars maintained their positions. Impressions from the graphics visualising the heat indicate a static race but Henrik did actually challenge Casper Elgaard in second position over the first part of

the race until he had to protect his tires. In the end both drivers maintained their positions meaning they would have to move to the third starting row for heat 2.

It seems that all drivers in DTC has learned the lessons about rolling starts. Heat 2 started without any problems and Pontus made a fast move into third position in turn 1. Over the next seven laps he was constantly hunted by Michael Outzen who gave over the challenge to Casper Elgaard.

In the 11th lap only milimeters separated Pontus from a major crash when he in the last corner lost grip and touched the barrier. The competition was that close that the loss of a few tenth of a second was equal five positions. Henrik had his own fight going on with John Nielsen for most of the laps changing positions frequently. But take a look at the graphics and see for your self.

In the third race rear wheel driven cars by law of physics are granted all the benefits during the traditional standing start. Despite the bad odds both Pontus and Henrik made a good start. Again Michael Outzen pushed hard to pass Henrik which took its toll of the tires. On the graphics it is clear that tires are worn on lap nine allowing also Tom Pedersen and John Nielsen to pass. A minor error by Tom Pedersen was used by Henrik to take back one position ending in fifth.

Evaluating the weekend has to be positive. We found a couple of things to improve and with a highly motivated team there is no doubt that we will improve. The understanding of the cars are growing every day and it is noticeable in lap times. On the track we are making progress except when some of our competitors are getting overly helpful to keep the speed through corners but that's racing.

Next race is on Padborg Park which is the first - and only - track with af relative long straight and thus more like tracks the car is built for.
