The Bride Show Dubai opens its doors Four day event commences with fashion shows, jewellery stalls and bridal services
The Bride Show Dubai opened today launching a four-day showcase of haute couture fashion, luxury wedding products and all the services necessary for a bride’s big day. With more daily fashion shows than any other event in the UAE, all of which are open to the public, unveiling both traditional and modern bridal looks and over 400 exhibitors from 13 countries, the event is expected to attract more than 30,000 visitors from around the region. The first fashion show kicked off the event with glamour and glitz when Manish Malhotra wowed the crowd with his latest collection. Catering to a diverse audience, Malhotra’s newest collection consists of intricate feminine details, colourful shapes and luxurious fabrics. Arushi, a long standing fashion boutique in Dubai and one of the first exhibitors at The Bride Show in the 1990s, revealed their latest bridal designs created exclusively for event. Their striking creations, formed with layers of fabrics in light, pretty colours and their signature embroidery drew in crowds. "The Bride Show Dubai is bigger than ever this year," said Daphne Cota, Exhibition Manager for The Bride Show. "There truly is something for everyone in this four day fashion and bridal extravaganza." Running alongside The Bride Show, Women’s Healthcare and Al Bayt Al Arabie, the UAE’s only Arabian home show, also opened their doors to visitors today. Women’s Healthcare kicked off with the "Go Red for Women" campaign, an initiative launched in the UAE to raise awareness of cardiovascular disease for women, passing out pins to visitors to draw attention to the preventable heart disease in order to save lives. The Bride Show Dubai, organised by IIR Middle East, is the largest bridal event in the Middle East and takes place daily until Saturday 26th April 2008 at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre. Open to the public from 2.30pm-10.30pm daily, The Bride Show Dubai has attracted an international line-up, showcasing wedding gowns, international haute couture fashion, beauty, hair and jewellery ideas, wedding venues and honeymoon destinations.
