For the first time, Egypt is participating in world car racing represented by its champion Ahmed Hamada, who took part in the first single seat Middle East championship "ZIP Formula Middle East Championship -Thunder Arabia" in Bahrain's International Circuit in 2005.
Thunder Arabia has been followed by fans all over the world since it has provided a good base for 90 percent of young international drivers who participated in Formula One since 1976, with the thrill of the preliminary qualifying races, including Michael Schumacher, the world's best and fastest driver.
In 2005 Hamada's team Egypt Racing Team, sponsored by Egyptian businessman Dr. Abdel-Moenim Seoudi – Modern Motors participated, under the auspices of the Automobile & Touring Club of Egypt, the representative of the Federation International of Automobile.
Hamada won third place in 2005 Championship and afterwards he was chosen to participate with the first Arab team in Formula Renault 2006 in the United Kingdom.
Hamada is getting prepared now with Egypt Racing Team and under the auspices of the Automobile & Touring Club of Egypt to participate in 2007/2008 Lumina CSV Middle East Championship, which will take place on the Bahrain International Circuit and the Dubai AutoDrom.
The competition will start in November 2007 and will end in April 2008. Through this series, Hamada will be preparing for his participation in 2008 Europe's Championship that will start in May 2008 and end in October 2008.
Unfortunately, Ahmed Hamada was not able to participate in the second season of the 2006 Middle East ZIP Formula Thunder Arabia races due to many obstacles that took place at the time.
"This year we are trying to do our best to provide Ahmed Hamada with sufficient financial support to make sure he participates in the coming races. We have also made sure one of the professionals plans his training. Our first step was to prepare him for the 2008 Europe season, to participate in the Middle East Lumina CSV 2007/2008," said Mohamed Gamal, Team Manager.
Despite the obstacles he faced in 2006, Hamada's enthusiasm does not stop him from trying to catch up with all the international championships. "I try as hard as I can to race all around the world but I am faced with a lot of difficulties that sometimes hinder my participation, but I will always do my best to reach the best performance internationally," said Hamada, whom the media calls, the Arab Schumacher.
Hamada's words are emphasized by Medhat Badawi, Team Principle, "He is qualified and talented, to be a good racer, one that deserves support and sponsorship. He already showed his ability to achieve a good ranking in former races, not to mention his special driving skills."
