Valentin Teillet won the home event

Fourth event for EMX2 European Championship that took place in Plomion, was the most successful for home French riders. Championship leader Valentin Teillet won the event. He had a big support of 13000 loud spectators.

In the first race Arnaud Tonus (Switzerland, KTM) exploded from the start. He could not held the tempo through the whole first race and other stronger riders came infront him. Tonus was fifth. Race was won by Valentin Teillet. Loic Larrieu (France, Kawasaki) was close to him, but he could not pass Teillet and finished second.

What Tonus missed in the first race, he compensated in he second race. He revenged to Teillet and won. Teillet was second and it was enough for his new victory. His advantage in Championship Classification grown up to 24 points. Jose Antonio Butron Oliva (Spain, Yamaha) was third in both races and he was third also in overall Classification.

French spectators were happy also for another two home riders, who finished top five. Loic Larrieu was fourth and Loic Rombaut was fifth.

RIDER'S COMMENTS:

VALENTIN TEILLET: »I was riding on this race track for the first time. It was very hard and it was full of stones. I enjoyed to compete infront of great spectators, who did a perfect atmosphere. It is easier riding with support of the public and of the team. We were talking a lot with Jacky Martens about settings of my bike and I think we did the right decision.«

ARNAUD TONUS: »This weekend was difficult for me. I did two good starts, specially in the first race. But I did some mistakes. In the second race I was continuing better and I am happy for the result. I still did not decide if I will participate the complete Championship because it depence also of KTM Switzerland.«

JOSE ANTONIO BUTRON OLIVA: »I got second podium this season and what is really good. I had two good starts and I finished third. I am very satisfied with the result. The race track was hard and usually I do not like very hard tracks. Next two events will be in Portugal and Spain, where I also expect two good results.«
