– Vierter auf dem Nürburgring

Mit gemischten Gefühlen ist das Team Mücke Motorsport supported by Schlüter aus Berlin-Altglienicke am Samstag (26. Juli) in die zweite Saisonhälfte der Formel-3-Euroserie gestartet.
Während der Finne Mika Mäki in Lauf 11 auf dem Nürburgring als Vierter weiter den Rückstand auf den Spitzenreiter verkürzen konnte, schieden der Tscheche Erik Janis in der ersten und Christian Vietoris (alle Mercedes Dallara) nach der achten Runde vorzeitig aus.
Für Letzteren besonders tragisch, denn der Gönnersdorfer stand bei seinem Heimspiel erstmals auf der Pole-Position. Doch dann würgte er am Start den Motor ab und musste das ganze Feld an sich vorbeiziehen lassen. „Das ist natürlich mehr als schade für Christian.
Doch man muss einem Neuling auch mal solch einen Fehler zugestehen", sagte Teamchef Peter Mücke. Als Vietoris vom Ende eine Aufholjagd startete, fuhr ihm einige Runden später ein Mitkonkurrent auf das Heck seines Autos.
Grund zur Freude hatte dagegen sein Mücke-Teamkollege Mika Mäki, der als Gesamtzweiter nur noch vier Punkte hinter Spitzenreiter Edoardo Mortara (Volkswagen Dallara) zurückliegt. Der Italiener ging nach seinem Ausscheiden in der ersten Runde leer aus. Den Sieg auf der 3,629 km langen Kurzanbin-dung des Nürburgrings holte sich Nico Hülkenberg (Emmerich/ Mercedes Dallara), der als Gesamtdritter punktgleich mit Mäki ist.
Vietoris rangiert in der Gesamtwertung an sechster Stelle. Mäki führt die Rookie-Wertung an, in der Janis Dritter ist. Der zwölfte Saisonlauf der stärksten Nachwuchsserie der Welt wird am Sonntag (27. Juli) um 10.55 Uhr gestartet.
