The first race at Adria, second to last round of the Formula 3 Italian Championship, reopened the title fight as well as the battle for the third place: Edoardo Piscopo (Team Ghinzani), started from the pole position, obtained the fastest lap and a victory just in front of the classification leader, Mirko Bortolotti (Lucidi Motors). The gap between the two drivers is not reduced to eleven points only, with 35 still to be assigned.
Adria, race one report: the championship is becoming more and more tight after Piscopo's victory The fight for the third place is getting more and more engaging and Marco Zipoli entered in it. The driver of Team Minardi by Corbetta, fifth under the chequered flag, preceded Francesco Castellacci (Lucidi Motors) in a race that saw both Salvatore Cicatelli (BVM-Target) and Giovanni Nava (Lucidi Motors) out of points.
Tom Dillmann (Europa Corse) achieved the third place of the podium, after the second place at Misano and has been followed by Giacomo Ricci (BVM-Target), at his race debut behind the wheel of the Dallara F308-FPT Racing.
The weekend programme will finish tomorrow with race two at 12.40 local time (GMT +1) broadcasted live on the satellite channel Nuvolari.
