After the opening round in United States at Sebring, the FIA WEC heads to Europe for the second round of the season scheduled on the challenging circuit of Spa-Francorchamps (B).


In the American 12 hours, Paolo Ruberti won in class LMGTE Am with his lineup-mates Gianluca Roda and Christian Ried on a Porsche 997 RSR lined up by Felbermayr-Proton, a highly prestigious result that awared them with the classification leadership.


The Belgian race will be run on six hours instead, on a track where the Veronese driver has often made the difference as in 2008 when he won the 24 Hours on a Ferrari 430 GT2.

Paolo Ruberti:  "Spa is one of my favourite tracks where I have always given my best. In this occasion we will probably have to defend ourselves performance-wise, but reliability is one of the main features of our Porsche, which is not a countless detail on such long races.


Weather is an unknown on this track and in May rainfalls are almost certain; this is why it is going to be important not to run any excessive risk and aim first of all to finish the race harvesting important points for the classification".
