Second victory in WTCC for Felix Porteiro that in the second race of Oschersleben (Germany) got on the highest place of the podium after the eighth place in the first race.
The Spaniard, thanks to these results and despite the 64kg ballast on board his BMW 320si, placed himself to the sixth place of the drivers´ championship at 50 points, 16 adrift the current leader Yvan Muller (Seat).
Steep weekend for Alessandro Zanardi instead, twelfth in the first manche and nineteenth in the second, whereby at the start has been involved in an accident that severely compromised his car.

"Porteiro has been excellent in taking to the success a car penalized by the ballast, considering that among BMW drivers only Jorg Muller had a heavier ballast on board.
The results obtained in these German rounds take him closer to the leadership: the gap is still quite wide but it is not impossible to fill in eight races.
The concurrent victory at the debut of the BMW M3 sedan that we developed for the Superstars championship makes today an historical day for ROAL Motorsport, that for the first time ever won on two different circuits at the same time."

Robert Huff took his first WTCC pole position in style in the sunshine at Oschersleben.
