The Golden Motors team from Russia, will rejoin the championship at the end of August, for the next race meeting at Oschersleben.
They will make their third appearance, having already taken part in the events of Valencia and Brno. Andrey Smetsky and Alexander Lvov will take the wheel of the team's Honda Accord Euro R cars. Afterwards they will also participate in the two following meetings at Imola and Monza.
The best result claimed by the Russian duo so far in the season was Lvov's fourth place in the Independents' Trophy in Valencia's Race 2.

Augusto Farfus managed to beat Alain Menu to pole position in the qualifying at Brands Hatch, but he had to set a new lap record to do it. With a time of 1:32.794 he shattered the track record for Super 2000 cars by two and a half tenths of a second and claimed his second pole of the season after Pau.
