Filiere Endurance quotes ahead of Ligier European Series, Spa Francorchamps

03.08.2020: With a little less than a week to go before the second meeting of the Ligier European Series of the year at Spa-Francorchamps, Jean-Bernard BOUVET, founder of the Filiere Endurance, makes a first report of the situation of his drivers.

With a little less than a week to go before the second meeting of the Ligier European Series of the year at Spa-Francorchamps, Jean-Bernard BOUVET, founder of the Filiere Endurance, makes a first report of the situation of his drivers.

"After long weeks of waiting and a complicated start of the year due to the health crisis, we were finally able to start the 2020 season 2 weeks ago on the Circuit Paul Ricard with a JS2R with Mathieu MARTINS and Ewen HACHEZ.

Despite of this, the crisis has totally disrupted the work plans we had put in place over several years with our drivers. You were surprised not to see all the drivers of the Filiere on the starting grid at Le Castellet ?

Well, you should know that they are still very present and as determined as ever. However, we've had a lot of discussions with the drivers and their families in order to make the best decisions for them to readapt their programme to the current situation. »

« A good start of the season at Le Castellet which motivates me even more for the upcoming race next week on the Spa-Franchorchamps circuit.

While waiting to head for Belgium, I'm continuing my preparations to arrive next week as well equipped as possible for the second round of the Ligier European Series. »

« Facing a rather special year, we made the choice with Jean-Bernard's advice to adapt our 2020 season in order to prepare for 2021.

I'm not slackening my efforts and I'm going to work even harder thanks to the preparation programme put in place by the Filière Endurance in order to get back on the starting grid next season. »

« The start of the season will officially begin for me this week on the Spa-Francorchamps circuit.

I'm really looking forward to my first start in the Ligier European Series at the wheel of the JSP4. I'm extremely motivated and in great shape to approach this meeting in the best possible way. »

In spite of a very encouraging first car race, the current situation is forcing us to readjust the programme for the 2020 season.

After analysing the situation with La Filière, we decided that I would skip the next race at Spa-Francorchamps in order to concentrate on the next round, which will take place on a circuit I already know. So, I'll see you at the end of August on the Barcelona circuit! »

« The crisis we are going through has changed my initial plans for the Filière. After many discussions with JB, we have decided to turn our attention to 2021 now and prepare an LMP3 program starting today.

I miss the competition and its adrenaline, but I remain highly motivated and determined to prepare this ambitious new program. I will therefore continue to work hard to arrive in 2021 as well armed as possible! »
