During the final weekend of June ADM racetrack saw the action of 3rd round of Formula RUS championship.  

Qualifying results was tightly packed with tenths of seconds splitting first four drivers on the grid with Maksim Travin taking pole position.

Maksim Travin: "During the test day before the race I couldn’t find a good pace but for qualifying I had a fresh rubber and managed to pull all the "right strings" to take pole.

First few laps proved to be crucial for race leaders with those who managed to escape a first turn carnage enjoyed a nice battle.

Denis Komarov: "During the start I’ve taken third position and was able to keep it for most of the race but couldn’t avoid collision with Stanislav (Chemakin) when he tried to pass me. Bent suspension made me think of retirement but I made it till the flag. It’s pity but that was racing accident, so I can’t complain. "

Sergey Mokshantsev: "Driveshaft failure on formation lap means I’ll start from last position in second heat. So I expect a tough race but I’ll do me best"

Maksim Travin: «My main task for today’s race was to emerge from first corner unscathed. Nobody challenged my lead and I’m very happy to take my second win this season»

Stanislav Chemakin: «I messed-up first corner and rejoined race beign last, had to work quite hard to catch-up with leaders pack. I’m not 100% happy with results I think I could have won this race if not that mistake in first corner. Hope to improve it in second race»

David Ramishvili: "I was happy to find myself in the lead but Travin was giving me a hard time trying to pass me. Unfortunately he succeeded. I was sure to take second but on final laps I drifted off the racing line and Stanislav Chemakin passed me for second. Anyway I’m happy to be on the podium"

Race 6 – 1 July

Thunderstorm with hail marred the second race of 3rd round. When Formula RUS was due to start racetrack was mix of wet and dry patches so first corner accident was expected. Drivers did not deceive spectator’s expectations with two pile-ups on the first lap.

Thanks to other drivers problem Denis Komarov taken the early lead and kept it for most of the race but few mistakes on braking allowed Sergey Mokshantsev to close the gap and eventually take lead despite his last grid position.

David Ramishvili managed to repeat his first race feats and take final podium place.

Maksim Travin: "I’ve nothing to say about my ill-fated race. Pity I had to retire so soon"

David Ramishvili: "I couldn’t repeat my first race start and had to settle for second place. I had a nice scrap with Denis Komarov we swapped position and I was hoping to take runner-up spot but he fooled me and passed me in our race to the chequered flag»

Sergey Mokshantsev: "There was hell in the first turn. A lot of water spray hanging in the air and from my position I could barely see anything. It was a hard race with all the passing I’ve done"
