Alors qu’une nouvelle fois Bernie Ecclestone déclare ce lundi dans les colonnes du quotidien sportif L’Equipe « que 2008 sera la dernière année ou le Grand Prix de France se disputera sur le circuit nivernais de Magny Cours » on reparle avec insistance des futurs projets concernant l’éventuelle organisation de ce Grand Prix de France en Région Parisienne.

On évoque depuis plusieurs mois l’existence de sites candidats tels que Satory – Evry – Marne la Vallée voire Eurodisney.

Mais un tout nouveau projet vient de se dévoiler...

Monté par la Foncière Saint Augustin que préside Eric Besson – un homonyme de l’homme politique – ce projet est déjà très avancé d’une part et ne fait appel à aucun fond public.

Le site « 230 hectares » retenu se trouve à 35 km au sud-est de Paris dans le département de la Seine et Marne.

Il s’agirait de réaliser un circuit non-permanent destiné à recevoir annuellement quelques épreuves de renom.

On parle du DTM, du Nascar américain, de course historiques types VdeV et aussi du retour du célèbre Grand Prix de l’Age d’Or actuellement à Dijon voire du GP de France moto.

Les promoteurs de cet important projet songent maintenant aussi au GP de France de F1 si Magny cours venait à le perdre.

Actuellement les études sont déjà très avancées.

L’un des architectes qui collabore régulièrement avec la FIA, l’Autrichien Franz Schreiner planche sur ce dossier et a déjà bien évidemment visité les lieux.

Concernant les bâtiments et tribunes, c’est Jean Michel Wilmotte l’un des meilleurs architectes Français actuels qui a été retenu comme concepteur global de l’ensemble du site aussi bien au niveau du circuit avec ses pièges à son (moins 40 décibels) que des bâtiments de réception (environ 40000 m2 de réceptif) et des bâtiments d’activités.Il travaille déjà lui aussi sur ce dossier. Qui s’insérera dans un projet global de zone d’activités HQE (Haute Qualité Environnementale)

Pour lequel collaborent comme consultants l’ancien pilote de Formule 1 Philippe Streiff et son ami Gilles Gaignault lui-même ancien Attaché de presse de Jean Marie Balestre à la FISA, la partie sportive à l’époque de la FIA.

Ce site industriel qui pourrait accueillir le GP de France de F1 sur son circuit de démonstration et d’essais est un projet respectueux de l’environnement : bilan énergique positif c'est-à-dire que tous les bâtiments seront équipes de toitures solaires et l’ensemble des parkings spectateurs (25 hectares) seront couverts par des panneaux photovoltaïques (puissance environ 10 mW)
