FSTi Driver Goals for Rally GB

Patrick Anglade (GER) is coming under pressure from Breen in the fight for the title but knows that keeping the car on the road on the tricky Welsh stages is half the battle and will be trying to find the balance between caution and speed in order to stay as close as possible to the pace of the Fiesta R2s.

Craig Breen (IRE) has had a fantastic season so far and overall victory in FSTi would represent a huge achievement for the young Irishman. He showed excellent raw pace in Spain but was hampered by an electrical issue and knows that he must avoid any problems in Wales and get to the end of the rally if he is to stand a chance of winning.

Ahmed Al Mansoori (UAE) has shown huge improvements over the course of the season combining his natural speed with the consistency needed to achieve good overall results. He is aiming to maintain that momentum and hold on to third place in the championship.

Majed Al Shamshi (UAE) has struggled with mechanical problems this season but despite these problems has shown great resilience in getting his car to the finish line and collecting valuable points in the championship. He is still in contention to take third place overall and, as the most experienced of the Team Abu Dhabi drivers, he will be keen to edge out his team mates.

Bader Al Jabri (UAE) is still one of the most consistent performers in FSTi, although he failed to finish in Spain, thus moving him down the standings. He will attempt to battle back into third position overall in the championship.

Emre Yurdakul (TUR) should be well-placed to push for his first FSTi victory of 2009 in the new Fiesta R2.  He proved his pace in Spain picking up two stage wins and he will be aiming to add more to that tally in the final event of the season, an event that he has won previously.

Burcu Çetinkaya (TUR) had a crash in Spain that put her out of the rally early on, so the female crew will be aiming to find their form again in Wales to end the season on a high note.

Atte Alanen (FIN) makes his first outing in FSTi this season.  Having produced some good results in his native Finland, this will only be his second WRC event. His rivals will be keen to see his early pace while he aims to make his mark on the rally in his Fiesta R2.
