Barwa International Campos Team - Istanbul Park - primera carrera

GRAN CARRERA DE VITALY PETROV

El equipo español Barwa International Campos Team ha colocado en una magnifica quinta posición a su piloto Vitaly Petrov en la primera carrera de Gp2 que se ha disputado esta tarde en el Circuito de Istambul Park en Turquía.

Vitaly realizó una fantástica remontada que le llevó desde la novena posición en la que partía, hasta terminar en la quinta posición que tiene mucho más merito al considerar que no pudo comenzar completamente concentrado la carrera ya que se encontró con problemas en la cremallera de la dirección en la vuelta de pre-parrilla. Aunque, evidentemente, el equipo resolvió la situación perfectamente, solucionando las dificultades para que pudiera tomar la salida en su posición de la parrilla y junto a los demás pilotos.

Ben Hanley se vio afectado por los problemas que suelen ocurrir en la cola del pelotón al ser alcanzado por detrás por otro piloto en la primera curva y que le provocó un trompo. Una vez se volvió a reincorporar a la carrera se mantuvo rodando al ritmo de la cabeza hasta terminar en el puesto 17.

La carrera se ha desarrollado a 34 vueltas lo que supone una distancia aproximada de 200 Kilómetros y finalmente sobre seco a pesar de las dudas que se han estado cerniendo sobre los equipos por las nubes que acechaban al circuito. No se han producido graves incidentes pues el Safety car que salió a pista, a falta de 13 vueltas para el final, no ha influido en el resultado de la competición.

Mañana se disputará la carrera corta a 23 vueltas y 120 Kilómetros antes de la Formula 1. Petrov saldrá en una muy buena cuarta posición con la idea de seguir sumando puntos regularmente para el campeonato de pilotos y para el Barwa International Campos Team en el de equipos. . La cadena de Televisión La sexta anuncia que la retransmitirá en directo para España con un programa previo desde las 10,00 horas que incluirá un resumen de la carrera de hoy, entrevistas y comentarios muy interesantes para el aficionado.
