‘IT’S DRIVE TIME!’ GP MASTERS TEAMS UP WITH VIRGIN RADIO

Grand Prix Masters has teamed up with the nation’s only pop and rock radio station Virgin Radio in a ground breaking co-marketing promotion this summer.

The partnership is launched today and will generate value for fans and sponsors alike through Virgin Radio in the weeks leading up to the Grand Prix Masters of Great Britain, Silverstone on 12th – 13th August.

Nigel Mansell, Emerson Fittipaldi, Derek Warwick, and other Masters drivers will be providing Virgin Radio listeners with unrivalled behind the scenes experiences, prizes and news as momentum builds towards the showdown of the Grand Prix legends at Silverstone next month. The promotion starts this Saturday with millions of national listeners able to stand a chance of winning a dream prize by tuning in to Dominic Johnson’s Rock’n’Roll Football show between 2pm and 6pm. One lucky listener this weekend will win a once-in-a-lifetime ride with Nigel Mansell in the all-new GP Masters two-seater race car. Many other prizes including pit-lane and paddock passes are also up for grabs in a deal that will also see Virgin Radio enjoy a brand presence at the event itself on 12th – 13th August, Silverstone.

Virgin Radio's Marketing Director David Andrews says of the promotion "Virgin Radio listeners are keen sports enthusiasts and the Rock'n'Roll Football show targets this audience perfectly. Nigel Mansell is legendary amongst our listeners so this is a great co-promotion to let the audience interact with the show and get closer to the heart of the action at the GP Masters of Great Britain."

GP Masters Chief Executive Scott Poulter added: "This partnership will enable us to reach huge audiences with one of the world’s premier radio brands. Together Virgin Radio and GP Masters will offer an unrivalled promotional package reaching a diverse audience including race fans, listeners and advertisers. We are delighted and privileged to be working with Virgin Radio on what promises to be the hottest motorsport promotional prize package of the summer."
