The new city circuit of Valencia awarded yesterday the second place of the podium to the crew Monfardini-Frezza, while Bontempelli and Cressoni harvested the ninth place in the final classification.
The number 21 F430 Ferrari crossed today the finish line of race two in eighth position, while a trivial problem to a sleeve of the cooling system forced Cressoni-Bontempelli to an early retirement.
Gianrcristiano Cavalleri (Team Owner):
"The second place obtained yesterday is certainly a good result that witnesses the commitment of the whole team even if the point awarding system does not favour who, like us, have to recover lost ground in the classification. For this reason, despite six races are still to be run, I am afraid that our way to the title is unavoidably very steep.
The retirement of Bontempelli-Cressoni in race two is a shame: a car is made of a lot of sophisticated elements, but the failure of a component worth just a few euros can sometimes ruin definitively a race, as today happened to them."
