Jourdan Serderidis: "Le plaisir de la glisse... incomparable"



Toujours avide de découvertes et de défis, Jourdan Serderidis participait le week-end dernier, avec Frédéric Miclotte et leur team J-Motorsport, au Rallye d'Australie, dernière manche du Championnat du Monde 2016.




 Le résultat brut, 23èmes sur leur DS 3 R5, n'est peut-être pas très parlant, mais ils étaient parmi les rares équipages privés venus d'Europe et l'épreuve est très éprouvante.



"Malheureusement, nous avons connu deux problèmes mécaniques dont un nous a coûté pas moins de 32 minutes de pénalités, et cela le premier jour. Tout espoir de bon classement était donc perdu," explique Jourdan Serderidis.




"En fait, le collecteur d'échappement s'est déchiré et la chaleur a fait fondre un faisceau électrique alimentant un capteur. Nous avons dû abandonner et repartir le lendemain en 'Rally2'.



Et dimanche, nous avons dû parcourir une spéciale et demie avec la boîte bloquée sur le 2ème rapport à cause du bris du câble de commande. Sans cela, nous aurions dû terminer aux portes du Top 15."




Jourdan est néanmoins satisfait de son déplacement: "C'est le rêve de disputer une épreuve mondiale dans un tel pays, totalement différent, dépaysant. C'est un bon mélange d'aventure et de compétition. Un grand challenge.



 L'organisation est plutôt de style britannique. Mais l'ambiance est très bonne. Je me suis en tout cas très bien amusé. J'ai fait ce que j'ai pu compte tenu de mon expérience sur la terre.




Le problème est que le rallye est truffé de courbes cachées, de situations en aveugle. J'ai un bon système de notes mais, pour que je puisse lui faire confiance, il faut que je sois sûr que tout est parfaitement précis.



 En deux passages en reconnaissances, c'est difficile. Mais j'ai pris énormément de plaisir de conduite. Les sensations de la glisse sur le terre, c'est incomparable. Et en plus, nous avons marqué 10 points au Championnat WRC2."



Jourdan tient aussi à remercier l'équipe J-Motorsport: "Les mécanos ont fait un travail remarquable. Nous n'avions pas de collecteur en réserve car nous ne pouvons pas tout emporter.




Ils l'ont parfaitement ressoudé pour que nous puissions repartir le lendemain. Ils n'arrêtent pas. A peine rentrés, ils se concentrent sur les 6H de Courtrai, au programme le week-end prochain.




Nous y alignerons notamment la DS 3 WRC pour Yves Bruneel et une DS 3 R5 pour Steve Bécaert. Et la semaine suivante, je serai au Champion's Day avec la DS 3 WRC."
