Punta Del Este, Uruguay - December 13, 2014

An exciting race for both Trulli drivers with Michela almost touching top 10 even though she receiving a drive-through penalty.

Jarno Trulli, P4

"Today we finally scored our first points, which is very nice for the team and gave something back to our sponsor Jihua who believes in us. I’d like to thank the mechanics, the engineers and the rest of the team for their efforts since we started in July.

It wasn’t easy for anyone as we had to rush in comparison to everyone else, who started almost eight months ahead.

To score the points is promising, and I believe that in Malaysia we already showed this potential. The race was slightly different here in Punta Del Este, but again we stayed with the top group and now we have to continue to perform this way and avoid little mistakes.

We are going to continue to improve ourselves and I’m confident that we can achieve better results, but in the end of the day it was a good race."

Michela Cerruti, P12

Despite issues in the morning and starting in P16, I had a good race. After a quick pit stop I re-entered the race P13 and got up to P11. Unfortunately, I received a drive-through penalty as I hit the brakes too late in the pit entry. It's my mistake and it won't happen again.

In the end, I was up nosing on the top 10 and finished 12th, which is my best result in Formula E so far. The race pace was good and Jarno's P4 was well achieved, so overall it was a good race."

Lucio Cavuto, Team Principal

"Finally we've had a very good race! Despite this morning's issues with one of Jarno’s cars having braking problems and being slotted in Q1, we managed to get a good race out of it. Michela had some traffic issues that forced her to touch the wall yet again, which was unlucky.

Jarno did some very good lap times and was able to recover to P4 - to finally get us the first championship points that we very much welcome after hard work from the team since July.

Michela was very unlucky as she just missed the speed limit in the pit entry after braking too late, resulting in a drive through penalty. This cost her either 8th or 9th position, which would have made a big difference for the team as we’d have had two cars scoring points. Nevertheless, we hope to keep momentum and we're looking forward to the next race in Buenos Aires.

I'd like to dedicate our first points to our sponsor Jihua. Having the JH1912 cube with us clearly gave us good luck so from now on it will be our mascot!

We'd also like to thank the whole team for all their hard work, as their efforts are really starting to pay off. Not to be forgotten are the organisers and the hosting country - thank you for having us here in Punta Del Este."
