On with the repeat of 60cc in 2007 !

EURO TROPHY BY 60, THE SERIES CONCEIVED FOR THE YOUNGEST, YET "BIG" KARTING DRIVERS.

Last year’s success has left no doubt to the organisers of the WSK Promotion: Euro Trophy by 60 will have its second edition in 2007, tailored once again to give the chance of competing internationally to the youngest drivers. Once again two categories will be accepted, 60 Baby and 60 Mini, which will compete across three different meetings along with the main series, National Series recently created by WSK Promotion.

In both cases, the races will be open to foreign participation, thanks to the NEAFP regulation, consented by CIK-FIA. An extremely valid program is in store for us, then: each of the three circuits hosting the series will offer not less than 5 categories, since in addition to the Euro Trophy by 60 will be 100 Junior (the old JICA), 100 Nazionale (ICA) and 125 ICC Nazionale (last year it was 125 ICC), in program for the National Series.

THE SETTINGS OF THE CHALLENGE.

The 2006 edition has awarded Antonio Giovinazzi, young driver from Martina Franca, Taranto, in the 60 Mini. Giovinazzi has triumphed in the Euro Trophy after the races in Muro Leccese and Lonato tracks. The 60 Baby was awarded after only one race, won in La Conca circuit by young Andrea Pinto.

This year’s programme looks even more demanding, since it will span from March until July beginning with the South Garda Circuit in Lonato, Brescia, and passing by Napoli Circuit in Sarno, Salerno, only to end in La Conca Circuit, in Muro Leccese, near Lecce.

The calendar will have both categories, Mini and Baby, competing in two races each weekend, both involving definite scores Following this plan, then, Euro Trophy by 60 scores at the highest among the racing events involving the youngest drivers, especially if we consider the big opportunity represented by the international confrontation.

COMBINATION.

Euro Trophy by 60 will host on its introductory weekend in Lonato, the Championkart Trophy, the monobrand series organized by Venetian manufacturer Parolin. In this case, there will be three further categories (the 60 Mini, the Junior and the Senior), created by Parolin for the drivers of this Trophy.

This ensures WSK Promotion a high standard level, confirmed also by the interest that Odeon TV Network has demonstrated in it: even these races will be included in the space the network dedicates to karting in Odeon Motori, the program broadcast on Thursdays from 8:07 to 8:30 PM, and repeated Fridays 1.00 to 1.30 PM.
