Le châssis SODI a triomphé dès l’ouverture de la série GPO Karting.
Le 28 mars sur le circuit d’Angerville, Anthony Abbasse a signé la Super Pole et a effectué un probant cavalier seul lors de la finale KZ2 dans laquelle on retrouvait pas moins de quatre châssis SODI dans les six premiers ! Vainqueur de sa demi-finale, Loïc Reguillon s’est montré le plus rapide de la première course KF2 et a complété le tir groupé Sodi en montant sur la deuxième marche du podium.
Le team SODI ne pouvait rêver meilleure entrée en matière pour son nouveau châssis dans le cadre des très attendus Grands Prix Open FFSA. Les deux modèles ST30 et ST32 se sont montrés très efficaces sur le circuit d’Angerville.
Dès la première Super Pole et la première finale de l’histoire des GPO, Anthony Abbasse a emmené son ensemble SODI-TM en haut des tablettes de la catégorie KZ2 (125cc à boîte de vitesses). “L’usine Sodikart a vraiment effectué un super travail avec la production de la nouvelle gamme, se réjouissait Anthony. Je viens de monter sur la 2e marche du podium du Trophée Margutti et, sur ce circuit d’Angerville bien différent de celui de Castelletto, la performance était également au rendez-vous”. En tête dès le début de la finale, Abbasse se met- Reguillon: Le plus rapide en KF2
tait rapidement hors de portée de ses adversaires et gagnait d’entrée. Déjà très rapide aux chronos et troisième de la finale, Mathias Gallepe emmenait un deuxième châssis Sodi sur le podium, tandis que Alban Varutti et Pierre Ragues, respectivement 5e et 6e, offraient au constructeur français un impressionnant résultat d’ensemble. “
Ces pilotes n’utilisaient pas tous la même marque de moteur, ni le même motoriste, mais se sont tous battus aux avant-postes grâce aux qualités du châssis”, notait Franck Le Beller, responsable technique de l’équipe. Si un accrochage a empêché Abbasse de se battre jusqu’au bout pour la victoire le dimanche, le meilleur tour réalisé par ce dernier dans les ultimes tours de la finale et le podium obtenu par Pierre Ragues ont prouvé une fois de plus l’aisance du nouveau châssis SODI en KZ2.
Loïc Reguillon s’est montré très impressionnant en KF2 à Angerville: le samedi, il signe le meilleur temps absolu des essais chronométrés, remporte sa demi-finale et réalise le meilleur tour d’une finale qu’il achève en deuxième position. Le lendemain, à l’issue d’un parcours quasi similaire, il se fait malheureusement heurter au départ.
Reparti aux environs de la 30e place, il se lance dans une remontée éperdue. Il multiplie les meilleurs tours en course et les dépassements jusqu’à revenir en 6e position. Les spectateurs ont apprécié !
“Je pense honnêtement que j’avais le matériel pour gagner le dimanche avec mon Sodi-Parilla, qui était vraiment fantastique. Je pointe déjà 2e du championnat de France à un petit point du leader, c’est donc très encourageant pour cette saison”, commentait Loïc.
Victoire au Rotax Euro Challenge
Pendant que le châssis ST32 gagnait à Angerville avec Abbasse en KZ2, Jérôme Bourquard (team BRK) imposait son Sodi ST30 lors de 1ère épreuve du Rotax Euro Challenge 2009. Sur le long et très exigeant tracé de Zuera en Espagne, le pilote Français a coupé l’arrivée de la finale Rotax Max Master avec plus de 10 secondes d’avance sur le deuxième. Une véritable démonstration !
