One more victory for Maisano and Intrepid

Always at the top of the rankings in international races, the brand Intrepid wins also in its numerous import countries. So, while, Brandon Maisano was dominating in the qualifying race of the European championship and then in the WSK in Sarno, Intrepid chassis conquered two of the most relevant international races held in France: Bridgestone Cup and KART mag Trophy!

While most of the candidates to the title of KF3 European champion were in Sarno on 20 July on the occasion of the 5th round of WSK, Brandon Maisano and his team Intrepid-TM stood out on the 1700 of the circuit near Naples. The best example remains his performance in the pre-final, as he explains.

"I signed the second best time in the practices, then I did not want to take any risk in the heats to secure a place in the front row of the pre-final grid.

Here, I got pushed to the outside of the track at race start, so that I found myself in 8th position. But I kept calm because I knew that I had a better material than my competitors".

In fact, the French overtook the drivers before him one by one and won by more than two seconds. In the final, everything went smoothly. Setting the best lap again, like in the pre-final, the champion of France 2008 crossed the finish line more than five seconds ahead. In addition to having secured his place at the top of the WSK, one round before the end, Brandon Maisano also enabled Intrepid France and LM Karting to improve their lead at the top of Eurocup.

In Sarno, Brandon performance was accompanied by the 10th place of the young Riccardo Iob. With his 7th time in the timed practices, he made a remarkable recovery, since he started from the 33rd position in pre-final. As for Manuel Cozzaglio (team EGP), he made an excellent performance in the top-10 in the qualifications in KZ2, but missed the goal on Sunday afternoon.

With more than 500 registered entrants in 2008, Bridgestone Cup France is one of the top events of the season in France. During the final held on 13 July in Essay, Intrepid chassis, with a raid, won the two main categories.

Young Paul Fourquemin won an easy victory in Rotax Max, whereas his team mate of the Intrepid-Top Chrono team Stéphane Picque showed the speed and endurance of his chassis by overtaking the driver before him and triumphing in Rotax Max Master.

KART mag Trophy: Intrepid France makes the difference In this highly prized event held in Ostricourt in the North of France, Sylver Garcia took full advantage of his very well performing Intrepid Cruiser Pro chassis to dash out to a solitary victory in Rotax Max ahead of more experienced drivers.

At the wheel of an Intrepid too, John Barbe signed the best laps in pre-final and final and ended up 6th in the overall ranking. Highly prized in France, the X30 category was marked by a triplet by Intrepid thanks to Julien Soulié, the winner, Pierre-Henri Janicaud and Romain Digard.

With the second place of Pascal Bielatowicz (V-max) in Rotax Max Master, the Action Karting- Intrepid France team was awarded the sought-after trophy, rewarding the best professionals of the weekend. 

"For some weeks, all team members have been focused on the upcoming chassis certifications and we decided to stay focused and avoid this transfer to Sarno with the official team for this round of WSK. Two important world events are approaching and we really wish to get ready for them in the best possible conditions.

Intrepid’s priority remains the quality of our chassis and I am quite satisfied when I see them win every weekend in different countries of the world with private drivers and teams ".
