At the wheel of his Maranello-Maxter, Davide Fore was one of the best drivers during the last round of the European KF1 Championship. The Italian driver conquered the pole position, became the leader at the end of the heats and reached the second step of the podium twice in the finals, thereby proving once again that his team is able to fight for the most prestigious titles. This is very promising for the World Championship…
Davide Fore really enjoyed the Braga circuit, on 2 and 3 August 2008. On this fast and technical track, the dynamic qualities of his Maranello chassis worked wonders. At the head of free practice timesheets, he reached the pole position in timed qualifying. Throughout the weekend, the higher temperatures rose, the more Davide’s performances improved. "I was certain that we would be competitive in Portugal", the Italian pilot commented. "The Maranello chassis is always very fast when the weather is hot, and Maxter engines where once again up to expectations".
After winning his two heats, Fore drove a spotless race in Race 1 and crossed the finishing line in second position. "Arnaud Kozlinski made the best start and I managed to follow his trail. For Maxter, the important thing was to win the title and since he was better placed than me in the Championship, I did not try to attack".
In Race 2, the Maranello driver was more than ever in the forefront of the fight. Once again, he came second, behind Jean-Philippe Guignet. "Guignet withdrew in Race 1 and he took advantage of his newer tyres to finish with a great performance. Overall, we achieved two Maxter double podiums and this is an excellent omen seven weeks before the World Championship.
I feel that the Maranello Team has never been so motivated". His team mate Patrick Fontner continued his progression and had the satisfaction of scoring his first points in KF1!

Comments by Armando Filini, in charge of Maranello Team
"Davide Fore was in 13th position in the Championship when he came here and concluded the season in 4th place. It was therefore an excellent weekend for Maranello, which remains one the world leaders. In Braga, all of our pilots fought hard, as shown by the performances by Patrick Fontner in KF1 and James Thorp in KF2. The team will do its best to move along the same direction and get ready for important deadlines in all international categories in the best possible conditions".
Ceccon and Maranello Champions in KF3
Already very competitive in each of the races he entered, Kevin Ceccon dominated at the International Open Masters KF3. Thanks to a great overall result, with three podiums (including one victory), the Italian pilot conquered the title at the wheel of his Maranello- TM.
A new victory that comes just at the right time for the Maranello brand, now that there are only a few weeks to go before the European KF3 Championship.

Excellent Performance for Thorp in KF2
Three Maranello pilots enlivened the pack during the final of the European KF2 Championship. "Honestly we hoped we could do even better", Armando Filini, Maranello team manager stressed.
"But we had to make up for changing track adhesion conditions with a mix of Dunlop KF2 and Bridgestone KF1 tyres". In this very difficult round, it was James Thorp who came out better. The British pilot finished all his heats in the top 6. Ninth in the pre-final, he concluded a good performance and ranked 7th in the final with his Maranello- Maxter. "James was one of the fastest on track at the end of the race", Filini concluded.
"We really had a very competitive chassis".
