Mit einem Sieg beim International Kart Grand Prix in Macau hat der amtierende Kart-Weltmeister und Deutscher ADAC-Kart-Meister Christian Wangard (18) aus Koblenz die Saison 2006 beendet.
Nach dem Gewinn der Rok Weltmeisterschaft im Oktober erhielt der 18-Jährige die Einladung zum International Kart Grand Prix in das asiatische Spielermekka Macau.

Leider hat es bei der Schumi-Mannschaft nicht zum Sieg gereicht. Zu groß waren die Unterschiede im Team. Klar, der 7-malige Formel-1-Weltmeister fuhr wie gewohnt Topzeiten, da konnten seine alten Freunde und Hobbypiloten nicht mithalten.

Vor rund einem Jahr hatten die Verantwortlichen des MS Kart & Event-Centers die Idee ein 24h-Kartrennen zu organisieren. Zwölf Monate später steht der Startschuss in Kerpen-Sindorf kurz bevor. Am 2. Dezember 2006 werden um 16:00 Uhr 18 Teams starten zum 1. Michael Schumacher 24h-Kartrennen.

On the Viana track in Portugal, Intrepid had the honour of providing the karts for the whole Senior field in the 7th Rotax Mojo Max Challenge Grand Final. Le dimanche, le ciel s’est couvert au-dessus de Mariembourg, en même temps qu’il est tombé sur la tête des pilotes du team Intrepid, alors qu’ils avaient tous la possibilité de monter sur le podium de la Coupe du Monde 125cc, voire de gagner dans le cas d’Alessandro Manetti. Am vergangenen Wochenende (02.03. September) startete Mario Farnbacher beim letzten Rennen der Kart-Europameisterschaft im belgischen Mariembourg. Sein Ziel, sich für die Finalrennen zu qualifizieren, gelang dem Lichtenauer. Im Finale belegte er den beachtlichen 21. Platz im Feld der rund 70-köpfigen Kartsport-Elite.
