At its meeting on 25 June 2008 in Paris, the World Motor Sport Council of the FIA took in particular the following decisions regarding Karting:
2009 & 2010 CIK-FIA World Karting Championships
It has been decided to grant the organisation of the 2009 CIK-FIA Karting World Championship to the ASN of Macau-China. The event will be held on the permanent Karting circuit of Coloane, in Macau, on 8-11 October 2009. It will be the 46th edition of the World Championship and the first to be held on the Asian continent.
The 2010 CIK-FIA Karting World Championship will be held on 16-19 September in Spain, on the circuit of Zuera (Saragossa).
Sporting Regulations
Within the framework of the new rolling start procedure applicable in the 2008 CIK-FIA Championships, Cups and Trophies, it has been decided to increase to 50 km/h (instead of 25) the maximum authorised speed in the approach phase to the start line.
The full Sporting Regulations of the new CIK-FIA World Cup for KF3 (Juniors), to be introduced in 2009, have been approved.
As from 2009, Drivers having participated in all the events and scored at least one point in the European KZ2 Championship will be eligible for the World Cup for KZ1 of the same year.
As from 2009, the number of Drivers allowed to participate in the final event of the European KF2 and KF3 Championships will be increased to 81 (instead of 72).
2008 International Karting Series
The World Council has approved the following international Karting Series: Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals, the single event of which will take place at Muro Leccese (Italy) on 27-30 November 2008.

DERNIÈRES DÉCISIONS DU CONSEIL MONDIAL DU SPORT AUTOMOBILE DE LA FIA CONCERNANT LE KARTING
À l’occasion de sa réunion du 25 juin 2008 à Paris, le Conseil Mondial du Sport Automobile de la FIA a pris, entre autres, les décisions suivantes en matière de Karting:
Championnats du Monde de Karting de la CIK-FIA de 2009 et 2010
Il a été décidé d’accorder l’organisation du Championnat du Monde de Karting de la CIK-FIA 2009 à l’ASN de Macau-Chine. L’épreuve se disputera sur le circuit permanent de Karting de Coloane, à Macau, les 8-11 octobre 2009. Il s’agira de la 46e édition du Championnat du Monde, mais de la première organisée sur le continent asiatique.
Le Championnat du Monde de Karting de la CIK-FIA de 2010 se courera les 16-19 septembre en Espagne, sur le circuit de Zuera (Saragosse).
Règlements sportifs
Dans le cadre de la nouvelle procédure de départ lancé applicable en Championnats, Coupes et Trophées 2008 de la CIK-FIA, il a été décidé de porter à 50 km/h (au lieu de 25) la vitesse maximum autorisée lors de la phase d’approche vers la ligne de départ.
Le Règlement Sportif complet de la nouvelle Coupe du Monde CIK-FIA de KF3 (Juniors), à introduire dès 2009, a été approuvé.
à partir de 2009, les Pilotes ayant participé à toutes les épreuves et marqué au moins un point en Championnat d’Europe de KZ2 seront autorisés à s’inscrire à la Coupe du Monde de KZ1 de la même année.
à partir de 2009, le nombre de Pilotes admis à participer à l’épreuve finale des Championnats d’Europe de KF2 et de KF3 sera porté à 81 (au lieu de 72).
Série internationale de Karting 2008
Le Conseil Mondial a approuvé la Série internationale de Karting suivante: Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals, dont l’unique épreuve aura lieu à Muro Leccese (Italie) les 27-30 novembre 2008.
