Kinetic Sunbelt Engines represented five teams this weekend at the Grand-Am KONI Challenge event at Homestead-Miami Speedway. With a total of nine cars in the both the Grand Sport (GS) and Street Tuner (ST) classes, the world renowned engine shop watched its products take top positions in both the GS and ST races around the 1.3 mile road course located just around the corner from the Florida Keys.
With eight of nine cars represented in the GS event, Kinetic Sunbelt Engines posted three top-10 and four top-20 finishes. In the ST class race, BSI Racing represented the engine shop running the new Mazda MX-5. This was only the second race for the MX-5 which BSI was able to put into the top-10 this weekend.
"We want to congratulate all of the teams that Kinetic Sunbelt works with," said Managing Director Jim Thompson. "Fall-Line Motorsports really came through this weekend and was able to enjoy a podium finish for the first time. Obviously a second place finish from Turner Motorsport is an incredible way to end a race. The new MX-5 looks very strong and we all have high hopes for the BSI Racing program. We will continue to provide all of our teams with the best engines and look forward to another successful race weekend at Iowa."
