2007 was one of the best drift year we ever had but 2008 will be even better!!!
Time is running, only 2 weeks to go before the opening round of KW King of Europe Drift Series 2008.
Tokol is already well known in our series, the track is about 25km away from Budapest.
You can expect the top European and Hungarian drifters :
Among them and in top position leading the italian squad invading King of Europe Drift Series 2008 : Graziano Rossi with his RWD Maserati, followed by Luca Lodi already well known in KOE Dragster, Benazzi Inghemar, Miglio Giorgio and Mauro Marchetti
You can expect the return of Nicolas Heyer, King of Drift 2006, he will be back in the series with the whole TurboTechnique Team, including Sebastien Anger from France as well with another Ford Sierra Cosworth.
Vernon Zwarneveld runner up in 2007, is already on the starting block with other dutch drifters but this time he want to cross the line with ranking #1
But Eastern Europe will be there also and want to show off with its best drifters : BartDrift, János Radák, Adorján Szeles, Tamás Varga and Bojan Kurbalija, some names that ring a bell if you are a true King of Europe fanatic!
Some info about the track :
It is an airport-track with tarmac surface and built to take care of the needs of the drifters. The track width is between 8-14 meters and the judged zone is about 5-600 meters with 4-5 curves. Last year the entry speed was more than 100km/h, but this year we will try to make it even faster and safer too!
We count with minimum 5.000 spectators and 60 drifters (there is a max limit of 60 drivers). We will have again (as always) a professional video and photographer team!
Timing of the event :
The race is on Saturday 5th April. Free Practice on Friday 4th April with technical checking in the morning and whole day drifting, till 6pm. On Saturday the race will end at about 7pm. The top 32 drifters will do of course tsuiso battles. The entry fee is 50 Euro (the practice and the tyre service included)

King of Europe was for the first time in Hungary and we can say it was one of the best drift round we ever had during King of Europe! We are coming back in Hungary for the final round and if you missed this round 3, we all advise you not to miss the final one!
