....tells pioneering story of WDM's Part of You campaign



The Summer issue (No. 11) of the World Diamond Magazine (WDMagazine) rolled off the presses in Istanbul in time for the Hong Kong Jewellery and Gem Fair that will begin later this week. With 14,000 copies printed, this retail-oriented magazine - a collaborative effort of the World Diamond Mark Foundation (WDM) and the Turkish Jewellers' Exporters Association (JTR) and supported by the World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB) - is now among the industry's leading, international trade magazines.

 

The cover story of the WDMagazine's summer issue is dedicated to diamond story telling. In the issue's lead story, Jacques Voorhees, Vice Chairman of the Museum of Named Diamonds, reports on the headway that retail jewellers are making in using diamond story-telling as their main sales pitch to customers instead of exalting the gemmological qualities of a diamond by means of the 4Cs.



 His article is followed by a number of diamond stories posted on the website of the Museum of Named Diamonds, and some that were sourced by the World Diamond Mark team for the www.passion.diamonds website which is the home website of the Part of You ™ diamond promotion campaign.
 


Among the other pieces featured are articles about Turkish jeweller Avedis Kendir, a review of the pioneering role the WDM has played in making diamond story telling the preferred consumer marketing approach adopted by the mid-stream sector of the diamond, gem and jewellery industry and trade, and a number of thought-provoking opinion pieces by, among others, Brad Brooks-Rubin, Bart De Hantsetters, Nurit Rothmann and Robert James.
