The soil
Our plantations are located in two exceptional areas of Nicaragua: Jalapa and Esteli whose fertile soils guarantee the best conditions for the culture of high quality tobacco plants. The complementary characteristics of the tobacco plants from these two prestigious sites provide to Nicarao cigars their appealing and balanced aromas, as well as their unique character.
From grain to green leaves
Whatever its final usage, wrapper, binder or filler, the tobacco leaf is cultivated with intensive care, and harvested at the right time under optimal conditions. When green tobacco leaves are harvested, a long processing time and a lot of efforts are still needed before an admirable and tasteful cigar is created. Cigar preparation is undertaken by our experts who express their dexterity and experience in the art of cigar-making through all stages of the process.
From brown leaves to cigar…
Following the drying, selection and fermentation processes, the tobacco leaves become 'golden-brown' and are ready for utilization in cigar-making.

Delighting the eyes with its chocolate colour , the wrapper leaf offers you a shining aspect and a soft touch. You will find in the body of Nicarao cigars an original panel of flavours and tastes. The moment of pleasure and quality, always renewed, of tasting a Nicarao cigar, we also wanted it affordable.
Entirely hand-rolled, the Nicarao cigars are manufactured from the leaves of the best tobacco plants that have been selected and cultivated in our plantations located at the two best production zones in Nicaragua.
The smooth and stout Nicarao cigars flatter the feelings of the smoker through their rich and original aromas. By their Central American touch, the aromas and savour are at once typified and strengthened for the expression of an interesting complexity of fragrance all round the cigar.
This originality and aromatic richness of the Nicarao cigars are as a result of excellent assemblage of the tobacco leaves harvested in the two best regions of Nicaragua: Esteli and Jalapa.
The variety of black tobacco used is Criollo 98. It is employed as wrapper, binder and filler leaf. Nevertheless, a carefully chosen filler leaf of the variety Corojo 99 is also added to the roll of cigar. This touch of diversity complements the assemblage of the tobacco leaves and brings to the bunch of aroma a supplementary fullness.
The rigorous selection and classification of the tobacco leaves according to their quality, colour, texture, aroma and, particularly, the characteristic quality of their cultivation region assure an enviable stability of aromas in the Nicarao cigars.
Our offer involve 4 different cigars : Minuto, Robusto, Piramide and Julieta.
