EnduroCross Finale in Las Vegas

25.11.2008: Multiple members of the Red Bull KTM Factory Off-Road Team came out to Las Vegas, NV to compete in the sixth and final round of the AMA EnduroCross at the Orleans Arena. The first heat was stacked with Red Bull KTM Factory riders as Justin Soule

Multiple members of the Red Bull KTM Factory Off-Road Team came out to Las Vegas, NV to compete in the sixth and final round of the AMA EnduroCross at the Orleans Arena.

The first heat was stacked with Red Bull KTM Factory riders as Justin Soule, Kurt Caselli, Geoff Aaron, Mike Brown and Sebastien Tortelli each lined up for the start. Brown grabbed the holeshot but was passed quickly after a 3rd corner mistake that allowed both Geoff Aaron and Damon Huffman to pass. Huffman went on to win the heat while Aaron qualified in second. The remainder of the riders were forced to the semi.

Heat number two was won by Ricky Dietrich while KTM support rider Kyle Redmond finished second to qualify into the main event line up. Heat #3 was a great battle between eventual heat winner, Taddy Blazusiak, and Kyle Calderini. The two riders swapped back and forth for the lead four times before Blazusiak finally got the advantage and passed by the checkered flag first.

Brown found his ticket into the main event with a win in Semi #1, in which he grabbed the holeshot and led the remainder of the race. Semi #2 was won by Mika Ahola while Destry Abbott finished on top during Semi #3.

Canadian KTM rider and no stranger to the EnduroCross podium, Bobby Prochnau won the final transfer spot due to a great ride in the Last Chance Qualifier.

When the gate dropped for the main event, KTM fans saw Polish rider Blazusiak in the second spot behind Huffman as the riders rounded the first turn. He held that position until he accidentally stalled in the rock garden and was passed by Dietrich and Aaron.

Just as Blazusiak caught back up he fell in the matrix log section and lost more valuable time. Aaron managed to narrow the gap between himself and Dietrich but was unable to make the pass by the race end. Nonetheless, Aaron's phenomenal ride earned him third overall while Blazusiak finished one spot behind him in fourth.

KTM would like to give a special thanks to all of the participants in the first ever KTM Ultimate Fan Experience who enjoyed a great show from the exclusive KTM "Orange" seating section.
