WRC RALLY CHAMPIONSHIP
Rallye Monte-Carlo

Saturday, January 25th 2020

Sébastien Ogier:

"I think Elfyn did a good job on the second stage, it's a lot about the risks you are willing to take and it's always tricky to find the limit in these conditions. I was having an okay stage but I didn't want to put myself too much in the danger zone.

Five-seconds is not so much so we need to keep driving fast and see how the gap is moving. The road is getting more dirty for sure, but that's always the case and if I compare to Elfyn or Thierry then the conditions will be very similar for all of us.

Tyre choice this afternoon will be difficult this afternoon."

Elfyn Evans:

"I think it was a pretty decent run but I feel I left a little bit out there in the first stage - I was a little too hesitant.

I tried to drive well in the second one and adapt to the changing conditions. You could see that the description from the gravel crew was changing as the sun came out, so it was difficult to try and react but it's the same for everyone."

Thierry Neuville

"It was a good start to the new day - everybody had more or less the same tyre choice. On the second stage I thought I had a good run but we lost a lot of time.

The notes were okay but between the time they passed and us starting the conditions can change quite a lot. You have seen that it is possible to take back 10-seconds in one stage so everything is still open."
