The most successful riders at the Swiss Qualifying Practice were Patrick Caps from Belgium, who took the pole in the Qualifying Practice for the MX3 World Championship and French rider Loic Rombaut with the pole position for the EMX2 European Championship event.
The first day of the Swiss event was taking place in rainy conditions. The race track was slippery, but the best riders did not have too many problems with the ground, that was good prepared. Patrick Caps (Kawasaki), who did not compete at the last three MX3 events came back and took the pole position. Caps said: »I did not participate at the whole season because I was racing at the home events in Belgium.
Today everything came out well for me. I like this race track, although it was slippery because of the rain. We found out good tyres for this conditions and I was fast. I wish to be on the podium tomorrow. I have a good feeling on this track.« Sven Breugelmans (KTM) came in Switzerland with the red front plate and he was second. Third was Antty Pyrhonen (Honda).
After the last two podiums he is still very fast and maybe it is an announcement of his third following podium. Third rider of the momentary Championship Classification Christophe Martin (Husqvarna) made the fourth time, Slovenian rider Saso Kragelj (Yamaha) was fifth. The Italian assaulter of the Title, Cristian Beggi (Honda) was 1,3 second behind the pole position and it was enought for the ninth time.
The winner of the EMX2 Qualifying Practice was Loic Rombaut (Kawasaki). He is in a good form and after twelve events he is holding the second position in the EMX2 European Championship Classification. Rombaut said: »The race track is suitable for me. I made the fast lap, then it started to rain and it was difficult to make better time. I know this track from the last season. Tomorrow I hope to have good starts.«
For Rombaut, who is on the second position in the Championship Classification, is important to finish the race in front of Loic Larrieu (Kawasaki) and Nikolaj Larsen (Suzuki). They are following him for only four points, so the battle for the European Vice-Champion has not finished, yet. In the Qualifying Practice Larrieu made the third and Larsen the fourth time. They were close again.
Home KTM rider Arnaud Tonus made the second fastest time. He had the perfect first part of the season. He was on the podium many times. After he did not continue with the whole season and he has regressed to the sixth position. For sure tomorrow he will try to get also his home podium. The new European Champion Valentin Teillet (KTM) made the sixth time.
