Riders for the FIM MX3 World Championship and EMX2 European Championship will this weekend compete in Sverepec, Slovakia. More than 12 thousand spectators visited the last year's event.
Sverepec is the small village in the northwestern Slovakia, with the population of 1100 people. The race track is renovated. From the last year they removed some parts of the track through the wood. The place around the race track now offers better view to the spectators.
The eleventh event for the FIM MX3 World Championship will be the last, before riders will go to their first oversea event to the Chile, South America. The previous event in Slovenia was the real nightmare for the former Championship leader Cristian Beggi (Honda). He was upgrading his leadership from race to race and a week ago he lost everything.
Beggi was irrecognizable, with big troubles in both races. He got only three points, while Sven Breugelmans (KTM) was fourth and now he is on the first position with the advantage of the 23 points in front of Beggi. This weekend they will continue with the big fight for the Championship's throne, that is obviously very hot in this season. The third rider from the MX3 World Championship's Classification Christophe Martin (Husqvarna), does not have very nice memories for the Slovakian event.
In the last year he got the injury just on this race track and he had to finished the season. Martin's best possible revenge would be, if he would be on the podium and finished bad feelings from the past. There will be also the last year's winner Martin Zerava (Honda). For the Czech rider it is almost the home event.
Riders for the EMX2 European Championship will compete in the tenth event. After it, some of them will have three weeks for the recovering. The others will do preparations for the junior World Championship, so this event will be their last chance for the good practice.
Valentin Teillet (KTM) is the big leader with the 60 points in front of the second best French rider Loic Larrieu (Kawasaki). After the second position, the situation is more close. Loic Rombaut (Kawasaki), Nikolaj Larsen (Suzuki) and Arnaud Tonus (KTM are the riders, who can change many things.
