EMX2 and EMX-85 – The triple motocross event in Markelo

The eighth event for the EMX2 European Championship will take place in Markelo, together with the FIM MX3 World Championship and EMX-85 European Championship.

The last event for the EMX2 European Championship was a month ago and riders are already impatient about the continuation of the racing. This weekend they will compete at the race track with the sandy ground. As distingushed from the other part of the Europe where these days is the real summer, in Netherlands the air temperatures are not very high.

For sure there will be higher temperatures on the race track. Already tomorrow, when riders will chasing best times in the Qualifying practice. The battle for the first position is starting to be more and more interesting, as the advantage of French rider Valentin Teillet (JM KTM Racing Team) is only six points. He was leading the Championship already for the 30 points, but some last races Teillet did not have a luck and Loic Larrieu (Kawasaki) came closer with his constant riding. All the riders had a month long break for the recovering before the second part of the season and already in Markelo we will see, who had the most successful preparations.

There will also compete riders for EMX-85 European Championship. It will be their eighth event in the season and the second in Netherlands. Two home riders are at the top of the Championship Classification. Jeffrey Herlings is the leader with the big advantage, while Donny Bastemeijer is at the second position at the moment. At the home race track they will be the main favorites for the Sunday's victory.
