This year, 10 cities entered the candidature process to bid for the NIO Day. Voted by over 40,000 people, NIO Day 2020 was awarded to Chengdu. NIO users participated in every aspect of the event.

Over 260 users joined the event planning and organization, while around 200 users in Chengdu voluntarily picked up users and guests from across the country with the warmest welcome at the airport and train stations. The NIO Band formed by users performed the NIO Day theme song “Always Forward.”

As NIO’s first sedan model, ET7 is also the first smart electric flagship sedan with the autonomous driving capability. It comes with the latest NIO Autonomous Driving (NAD).

The NIO AQUILA Super Sensing has 33 high-resolution sensing units, including 11 8 MP high-resolution cameras, and 1 ultralong-range high-resolution LiDAR.

Featuring 4 NVIDIA Orin SoCs, NIO ADAM Super Computer boasts a total computing power of 1,016TOPS, becoming the most powerful mobile computing platform on production models by far. NIO has developed the full stack autonomous driving technology to provide safe and effortless point-to-point autonomous driving experience that gradually covers urban, expressway, parking, and battery swapping scenarios.

Pure and sophisticated, ET7 is designed for autonomous driving, perfectly integrating design with the autonomous driving sensing units. Refined and human, the interior of ET7 is a further interpretation of the second living room concept. ET7 comes standard with soft closing doors.

New materials can be found in many places in the cabin, including the first application of Karuun® renewable rattan on a production model, which brings users a natural and green experience. Heating, ventilation, massage are all standard in both the front and rear seats, offering comfortable riding and driving experience to each occupant.

ET7 also boasts NIO’s 2nd generation smart cockpit which adopts the 3rd  Generation Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ Automotive Cockpit Platform with the most powerful in-car mobile connectivity and communication capability. The world’s first in-car AI system NOMI also keeps involving. Besides, ET7 comes standard with 23 speakers with a total output of 1000 watts, making the 7.1.4 immersive sound system become a reality in the car.

Inheriting NIO’s high-performance DNA, ET7 features a 0-100 km/h acceleration of 3.9 seconds and a 100-0 km/h braking distance of 33.5 meters. The ultra-low drag coefficient of 0.23 and the 2nd generation high-efficiency powertrain platform with SiC power module further improve the vehicle energy efficiency. With the 70 kWh battery pack, ET7 features an NEDC range of over 500 km. The range can exceed 700 km and even 1,000 km with the 100 kWh and 150 kWh battery packs respectively.

The ET7 has a pre-subsidy price starting from RMB 448,000, or RMB 378,000 with BaaS. The ET7 Premier Edition has a pre-subsidy price of RMB 526,000, or RMB 398,000 with BaaS. The NIO ET7 is available for pre-order on NIO app from today. The deliveries are estimated to start in Q1 2022. NAD's 19 safety and driver assistance features come standard on ET7. NAD's full functions can be subscribed with AD as a Service (ADaaS) for a monthly subscription fee of RMB 680.

At NIO Day, the 150 kWh battery pack was also launched. Enabled by the advanced mass-produced solid-state battery technology, it can achieve an ultra-high energy density of 360 Wh/kg. All NIO users can opt to upgrade to 150 kWh. Equipped with the 150 kWh battery pack, NIO vehicles can feature ultra-high NEDC range, with the 2018 ES8 exceeding 730 km, the all-new ES8 beyond 850 km, and the ES6 and EC6 over 900 km. The ET7 can even boast an NEDC range of over 1,000 km.

To continuously improve the battery swapping experience, NIO officially launched the Power Swap Station 2.0 which can complete 312 swaps per day. The vehicle can automatically drive into the station and users can initiate a battery swap from inside the vehicle with one click. NIO will speed up the deployment of the Power Swap Stations. It is estimated that 500 Power Swap Stations will be in operation nationwide by the end of 2021.

Furthermore, NIO also introduced the Blue Point Plan for the mission of low carbon and environmental protection and the vision of “Blue Sky Coming” together with users.

As of December 31, 2020, NIO's cumulative deliveries reached 75,641 units. "NIO community is growing, while the love and trust from our users have always been the driving force behind our continued progress,” said William Li, founder, chairman and CEO of NIO.
