| The final loop of stages in Spain began with a repeat of the 16.32km Riudecanyes, run earlier as SS13. As expected, most of the leaders had their thoughts on the finish podium and continued with a cautious approach. The exception, however, was Petter Solberg, who seemed to be enjoying himself too much in his Citroen C4 to slow down.
