C'est sur le circuit du Mans, dans sa version 24 Heures, ces deux derniers jours que l'équipe G-Drive Racing by SIGNATECH-NISSAN avait rendez-vous pour les essais qualificatifs de l'épreuve mancelle. L'équipage Panciatici/Ragues/Rusinov, réussissait à se hisser à la troisième place du plateau LMP2, qui est rappellons le, est le plus relevé de cette 80ème édition des 24 Heures du Mans.
Roman Rusinov, et Pierre Ragues, habitués de l'endurance retrouvaient le tracé des 24h du Mans, alors que Nelson Panciatici découvrait lui, les spécificités des 2 tours d'horloges manceaux et devait effectuer ses tours de qualification de nuit. La voiture #26 aux couleurs de G-Drive signe une très belle performance avec le 3ème temps LMP2 dans la deuxième séance qualificative, position qu'il conservera jusqu'à la fin.
Philippe Sinault : " La stratégie était, après les dernières vérifications de base et validations d'usure pneumatiques, de passer deux trains médiums neufs et tenter d'aligner une série de tours plus rapides, pour d'obtenir la meilleure place possible sur la grille. Après que Roman et Pierre aient réalisé quelques beaux chronos prometteurs, Nelson faisait le job dans la deuxième séance et placait la voiture en 3ème position LMP2.
Hier, quelques problèmes mécaniques (démarreur, boite de vitesse) venaient contrarier le bon déroulement du programme technique. L'objectif maintenant est de reconditionner la voiture en version course, remettre les organes principaux "à neufs" afin de prendre le départ dans les meilleures conditions.
Rendez-vous donc, dimanche à 15h pour l'arrivée de la 80ème édition des 24 heures du Mans, qui s'annonce une nouvelle fois fantastique!"
