Giedo Van der Garde (P1 Motorsport) was back on form, claiming his third victory in four races. Marco Bonanomi (Red Devil Team Comtec) gained valuable points, finishing second ahead of Mikhail Aleshin (Carlin Motorsport). As winner, Bertrand Baguette (International Draco Racing) has paid back the large numbers of home fans who have come to Spa-Francorchamps in the best possible way. The Belgian avoided the many pitfalls of the circuit to finish ahead of Salvador Duran (Interwetten.com Racing Team) and Guillaume Moreau (KTR).

With one pole position and two victories, Giedo Van der Garde (P1 Motorsport) totally shut out the competition here at Monza. After leading race two from start to finish, he took the victory ahead of the Spaniard Alvaro Barba (Prema Powerteam). Charles Pic (Tech1 Racing) also made an impression by coming home third in only his second race in the Formula Renault 3.5 Series.

The Friday schedule began with a 45-minute collective testing session in the morning as a prelude to the qualifying session in the late afternoon. So the drivers' thoughts were firmly focused on qualifying as the twenty-six Formula Renault 3.5 cars took to the track.
