Während der Ex-DTM-Champion Kurt Thiim aus Dänemark seinem Unterländer Mäzen Freude macht und nach technischen Problemen im Training vom 43. Die Probleme von gestern sind erst einmal vergessen.
Nach einer Renndistanz von 9,5 h liegt das RJN Team nun bereits auf einem Gesamtplatz 15 und ist dritter in KLasse A5.

Dubai 2008 – vor dem 24h Rennen – Training mit Hindernissen
Am 7. Januar flog der Neckarsulmer Rennfahrer nach Dubai. Wellcomeparty und das Einrichten der Boxen stimmte die Deutsch/Slowakisch/Amerikanische Crew zeitlich perfekt ab. Zum 3. Start bei einem Rennen in Dubai schien für das Team alles im Lot. Die Mannschaft war hoch motiviert.

The current weather forecast states a 40 percent chance of rain, both on Friday and Saturday.
Even when the actual amount of rain will be limited to a few scattered showers, it could still be a problem, as some of the teams had so much confidence in the good weather in Dubai that they brought only a very limited number of rain tyres, or none at all.

Dubai Autodrome Chairman Saeed Khalfan welcomed the 90 teams entered for the Toyo Tyres 24-Hour of Dubai endurance race on 11 and 12 January 2008.
