Dell'Orto and LCR Honda team together in MotoGP

06.03.2018: LCR Honda Team is proud to welcome in its Sponsors’ community Dell’Orto, the iconic Northern-Italian company, World leader for the production

LCR Honda Team is proud to welcome in its Sponsors’ community Dell’Orto, the iconic Northern-Italian company, World leader for the production of carburetors, electronic throttle bodies, injection systems and electronic control units (ECU).

Dell’Orto (supplier of several car and motorbike constructors), in its 85 years of history, have always evolved while honoring its key-values of innovation, quality, technologic development, proving itself to be one of the uncontested Italian excellence in the World.

Since the very first World Title won in 1950, thanks to Umberto Masetti on the Gilera 500 4C, Dell’Orto has always had an active role in motorcycle racing, which is seen as a testing ground for its products and technologies.

The latest example of this attitude is the renewal of the commitment in the Moto3 World Championship until 2020, as well as the European FIM CEV Moto3 Championship, as the sole ECU and dashboard supplier.

Motorsports are seen mostly as a platform for R&D, but also as a strategic booster for commercial relationships and promotional activities: for these reasons, Dell’Orto joins forces with the LCR Honda Team, signing a deal for 2018 and 2019.

“Dell’Orto’s attitude consists in being cutting edge in the market on both the product side and the marketing and communication side.

Speaking of the last two aspects, we believe that LCR is the right partner in order to strengthen our relationship with Honda (that has already been our client in the past for several production models); we also believe that our presence on Cal Crutchlow’s bike will allow us to be among the protagonists of the MotoGP Class.

I am personally really happy to announce this cooperation with the LCR Team (I know Lucio since he was racing in the 125cc, with our carburetors!): it’s a new road we are happy to take!”

LUCIO CECCHINELLO (LCR Honda Team Principal)

“It might sound exaggerated, but I am extremely happy about the partnership with Dell’Orto.

When I was a kid I tuned up dozen of motorbikes with their products and then I won several races with their carburetors in my career; stepping into Dell’Orto factory, visiting their amazing museum, feeling their great history, knowing more about their present and being able to talk to Andrea Dell’Orto about our cooperation has been a true emotion for me.

I deeply thank Andrea and the whole Company for their trust: I really hope this partnership will last for decades!”
