The newest race in F1 scheduled to take place on weekend of April 3rd – 5th in Hanoi, Vietnam

The Vietnam Grand Prix Corporation (VGPC), Promoter of the Formula 1 Vietnam Grand Prix 2020, is delighted to confirm that the country’s inaugural F1 race will take place on the weekend of April 3rd – 5th, 2020. The date was confirmed by the FIA & F1 with the release of the provisional F1 calendar for next year, which shows the newest addition to the sport as hosting the third round of the 2020 F1 World Championship.

Speaking after the race date confirmation, the CEO of the Vietnam Grand Prix Corporation, Ms. Chi Le Ngoc said: “We are very satisfied with our race date and position on the F1 calendar. Not only will we be making our debut as the newest street race in F1 on the weekend of April 3rd – 5th, we are also honoured to host the first race of the year in Asia.

Our fantastic circuit has been specifically designed to deliver adrenaline fuelled racing and to challenge the drivers to keep reaching their highest limits. In addition, we will be offering fans a full 3-day programme of activity both on and off track that will appeal to sport, adventure and entertainment seekers alike. Our message to everyone is clear: come to Hanoi next April not only to witness a spectacular race on F1’s newest street circuit but also to discover this beautiful city and all it has to offer.”

Taking place on the streets of Hanoi next April, the Formula 1 Vietnam Grand Prix is quickly becoming the most anticipated race of the 2020 F1 season. As the newest street race on the calendar, the F1 Hanoi Racetrack will run to 5607m in length and feature 23 corners, some of them borrowing heavily from iconic tracks like Suzuka and the Nürburgring.

Designed by Tilke Engineers & Architects in partnership with F1’s own Motorsports team, the circuit is set to be one of the most challenging and exciting tracks on the calendar, promising the fans to deliver the world’s most intense and thrilling racing moments. The circuit also features one of the longest straights in the sport at 1.6km where drivers are expected to reach speeds of up to 335km/h.

The Grandstand ticket offering has a variety of options for customers with 3 different ticket categories: Premium Grandstand, Standard Grandstand and Unreserved Grandstand. Grandstand tickets range in price from $275 to $390 for 3-day tickets and from $66 for 1-day tickets, offering plenty of viewing options for F1 fans to choose from.

General Admission tickets are most suitable for those who want to enjoy the excitement of the most prestigious sport and entertainment event on the planet at a reasonable price. This option is ideal for any fan who wishes to watch the action from different locations on the track at various standing areas, enabling them to get as close as possible to the sound of the roaring engines and witness the greatest drivers in the world speed through the streets of Hanoi.

General Admission tickets are divided into 2 categories: General Admission and Premium General Admission, starting at only $30 for 1-day tickets - an ideal price for family and friends to enjoy this special weekend and create unforgettable moments and memories together at the first-ever Formula 1 Vietnam Grand Prix.
